Sitges Film Festival 2022
The Sitges Film Festival (Catalan: Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantàstic de Catalunya) is an annual film festival held in Sitges, Spain, specialized in fantasy and horror films, of which it is considered one of the world's foremost international festivals. Established in 1968, the festival takes place every year, usually in early October.
The 55th edition of the festival will be held from October 6 to 16, 2022.
This year, in the 22nd edition of the Awards 15 film schools and universities around Catalonia, which have submitted a total of 32 audiovisual works, will also participate.

For those of us who are getting older, it is very special to be able to work around a classic of our childhood and science fiction like Tron, a work that is more current than ever, with words like metaverse or virtual reality creeping into almost any conversation.
Taking as inspiration the graphic universe in which Kevin Flynn finds himself trapped when he enters the circuits of his computer, we saw the opportunity to recover the Festival's great icon and, for the first time, give it all the limelight. Virtual reality and Sitges, fused in an image conceived from the digital and for the digital.
To design it, we chose the Barcelona visual artist Sergi Delgado. Sergi, with his minimalist style, played and explored with optical effects until he found the balance between the simplicity and forcefulness that every poster needs and the disorder of distorted and immersive lines that, up close, invite you to literally enter into the leitmotiv of this edition.
